The Special Story Behind My Mama Pendant

When my daughter was just 6 years old, she used her allowance to purchase a seashell necklace and gave it to me for Mother's Day.

She said, "Mommy I want you to always be reminded of the beach because I know it makes you happy."

I wore that necklace for years, and every time I looked down at it, I was reminded. Yes, of the beach - but, more importantly, I was reminded of how much I love my daughter. This reminder never failed to bring a smile to my face, and I wore the necklace until it disintegrated.

This was the inspiration for my Ilissa Michele 'Mama' Pendant. I wanted to create something that could be paired with just about any necklace... just for Mother's Day.

I started with high quality Sterling Silver as a base, and then added Pave Diamonds to achieve just the right amount of shimmer. The result? A beautiful piece that I hope will give mom the same feeling my seashell necklace did.
